About the Author

Courtney Gold is a scientist and children's book author passionate about making science fun and accessible for young minds. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and spent 12 years doing cardiology research there.

During college, she worked as a "Mad Scientist" for Mad Science of Western New England, leading interactive after-school programs that introduced elementary school kids to hands-on science.

Now a mother of two, Courtney loves teaching her children about science and the world around them. After more than a decade of work, she is thrilled to share her books with families everywhere, hoping to spark curiosity and a love of learning in young readers.
